Today, we looked at the history of music photographers.
The first photographer we looked at was Herman Leonard. He was American and lived 87 years. He once borrowed a camera off his brother and started touring around to gigs and photographing Jazz clubs in New York, then he started his career in 1947. His images were mostly dark and made look empowring, the light in the photographs were very intense and he liked to show off that particular skill. This photographer was known for his love of 'smoke', the smoke in which was risen by smoke machines whilst bands or musicians were playing on stage. The other half of his images were portraits, but not normal portraits, they had included objects which represents a person, instead of showing their actual faces.
