Project 1 - Depth Of Field

Today, we strolled down to the barbican with film camerea's. We were experimenting with the apeture and the shutter speed. We had to go in groups of three and wonder around taking pictures. I decided to take this picture to practise depth of field work, and improve on my techniques. I couldn't decide between these two photos, because the black and white photo shows a sense of sophistication but the coloured photo gives a lot more life to the image. These images were taken on a digital camera not a film camera. This picture of the flower I feel is very crisp but subtle. I managed to blur out the rest of the leaves and flowers in the back to focus on the main flower. ​
