Project 3 - The Square

We got given a brief to work from which basically told us we could base this project on anything we wanted. We have to have a final image at the end of it. We had to chose two different genres of photography and mind map them to find different ideas on how to work with them and what to take pictures of. We have to make sure the genre we pick is specific to a certain audience. We have to research photographers relating to the genres we pick and work with their pictures to create our final peice. I have chosen fashion photography and i have decided to look at and research David Sims work, because he has a good idea on how fashion photography works and how to present it. This photo shows the style I want to work in with the models I use. For these kind of pictures I will have to use a fast shutter speed because I want the model to be jumping or moving her hair so I need to capture it fast enough for it to work.

This picture by David Sims shows exactly what I want to produce by the end of this project. I think he has a kwirky sense of style with photography and fashion which works well together.
