Project 5 - Evaluation

This project has been somewhat challenging in the sense of developing ideas for the images I wanted to produce. Although I think I have chosen a final image to use which represents this project well. I chose plastic pollution as the subject of my project because I thought it was an easy subject to look up on and actually shoot. Doing some research on it helped me a lot because it gave me ideas on what to shoot and how to shoot it. Also meeting a member of the rame peninsula helped an awful lot because he fed us with a lot of information about the pollution on the beaches and in the sea and told us what he does.

This image is going to be my final image, I like it because I took it at a low angle, it is focused on the plastic, the sea and the sand is blurred out. It helps the plastic being a bright orange aswell because it makes it stands out more. This collection of plastic is what the man collected and allowed us to take pictures of.

This image was taken by Paul Kennedy, on the south coast of Pulau Bunaken.

This is an image I took which is similar in a way to Paul Kennedy's one. With the writing on the wall behind saying 'Take UR rubbish home!' is in contrast to rubbish being bought up onto the beach from the ocean.

I did some research to find some inspiration for my shoot, I looked at a few enviromental photographers and news articles on plastic pollution. They gave me some ideas on what to shoot, like the picture above.
