Project 6 - Photographer research

I am thinking to base this project on all round fashion. The test shoot I did made me realise that having one small subject to focus on is quite difficult because there isn't much to think about whereas if I do all fashion, then I have a wider variation to choose from.

I have been looking at a few photographers which link in well with fashion photography.

Mario Testino has a natural feel to his work, he takes most of his pictures in the moment, but if he is shooting for a magazine he will make sure it looks really professional like this vogue magazine cover. I feel that Mario Testino's work if effortless and that he takes a picture and the right moment which creates that sense of natural. The black and white image on the right was taken at the right moment, her hair is flipped up in the air and it isn't blurry so that must have meant he has his camera set to a fast shutter speed. It looks like he has edited it to look more contrasted which shows the difference of the shadows and the light parts and he has taken the image from a low angle which makes the model/subject look more empowering and the image was taken outside which makes it look even more natural.
